Happy New Year!
Before I do the traditional crafty look back at 2011 and look forward to 2012, I've got to just show you this beautiful secret santa gift I received from one of the members of the fabulous Brit Bee, which I am lucky enough to be a member of.
I was so excited when I saw a glimpse of this fabric through the tissue paper wrapping (I didn't get any pictures of the lovely wrapping - far too excited and rushing to unwrap!) It is my favourite line of fabric at the moment (it's Echo, by Lotta Jansdotter, if you're wondering), but budget constraints mean that I have only been able to treat myself to one little bit of one print, so it is such a treat to have a little reminder of all the prints in the line.
I still don't actually know which of my fellow bee-ers made this beautiful notebook cover (complete with notebook, naturally. I was working on a process of elimination but I literally do not have a clue. I hate to guess wrong (fear of failure? Me? Never), so I'm hoping for a spoiler from my SS soon...
I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year, see you back here in a day or two for a look back at 2011!
Edited to add: I should have known! my secret santa was, of course, the talented Judith. The fact that she completed this beautiful Echo quilt a few weeks ago really should have been a complete giveaway, especially given that I drooled over this quilt, pinned it and generally considered making an exact replica... Thank you Judith for the perfect gift for this list maker!
