That is a hole in an elbow (there's a matching one on the other arm). Those are two nice pieces of felt to cover said holes. Any ideas on how to bring the two together? It strikes me that as the resident sewist I ought to be finding this easier. Should I just do some kind of neat miniature blanket stich around the edge or what? Help!
ps: the aged jumper is my mother's, not mine. I'm not sure if this makes it better or worse.
pps: does anyone else have a stack of mending that is continually placed behind new projects in the To Do list? I have a whole shelf in my workroom of things that need mending, and I am so behind that my children are actually growing out of the clothes before they are mended. Which shrinks the pile a bit, I suppose...
