I have a crush. I am absolutely loving this colour scheme, and I think it would work well for my not overly-boyish boys. The only downside is that, ermm, they are actual people rather than cardboard cut out children. I have never really tried for a particular 'look' (matching this quilt to this chair is about as close as I've ever got) in the boys' room, but I'm beginning to think I'd quite like to.
We rent, so painting the walls is out, but I'm thinking that a couple of quilts, a new rug (you don't even want to know how threadbare and tired the current rug is), maybe some cushions (I am in love with this floor cushion pattern and think it would work ridiculously well), simpl curtains, a couple of cool prints, and we'd be there. The boys don't particularly play in their room (we tend to have either their garage or dolls house, plus incumbents, and a few books in their room, with the rest of their toys downstairs).
Do any of you have rooms that are actually (cringe) 'styled'? Does it work with real life? Am I deluding myself? Advise me, oh wise ones!
