So, the bestest bee in the entire world (I'm not remotely biased) has just kicked off round three. This year, instead of doing a traditional bee, we're doing a medallion quilt, which I am seriously excited about.
We're all working loosely on a pattern created by the rather talented Hadley, and each of us are making our own centre medallion, to be added onto by the rest of the bee over the course of the year.
I had a complete flap about what I wanted this quilt to be, and eventually decided I'd quite like it to head to Jasper (younger child), as the poor deprived thing only has one quilt and it's a baby quilt and he's almost three. As you can see, I am in no way precious about adding florals and Hello Kitty prints to a quilt destined for a boy. It's orange, surely that's gender-neutral enough?
I've actually already sent this on to Laura Jane and have added the first border onto Trudi's medallion (OMG how terrifying? Her piecing is incredilbe!), but you'll have to wait a couple of days to see a sneaky peeky of what I did to hers.
