Finally I have actually started something for the baby. It's only been, what, almost a month since I said I would? And I've got, ohh, five weeks or so till said baby appears, so that's absolutely fine.
I'm knitting a(nother) striped version of Jennifer Hoel's garter yoke baby cardigan (I made one for Jasper, which is still going strong but too big for a newborn). If I can't make a sensible gauge I might just hold the two yarns together rather than striping it though. I actually bought the cream malabrigo with the intention of making a red and white striped cardigan with some scarlet Wollmeise I've had kicking round my stash forever, but actually I think I want red Wollmeise socks more than I want a baby with a red and cream striped cardigan. Sorry baby. Anyway, the Lorna's Laces has been kicking around even longer than the Wollmeise, so it's only fair it gets used up first, right?
