Between the fussy cutting and the obsessing about getting the perfect contrast between different parts of each block, there is actually nothing remotely economical about economy blocks, is there?
I'm inching my way towards having a full quilt top (baby sized - I'm aiming for 30" x 35"), and am desperately trying to get this finished before baby three makes an appearance in really not that many weeks' time. Only nine blocks to go!
Batting and backing is ordered and ready, and I need to whizz up some binding at some stage too. The prints are a mix of Liberty prints that I have or have had in the shop, and the backing and binding will be Liberty too. This is going to be one soft quilt.
On the bright side, just about the only thing I can do at the minute is sit still doing not a lot, which makes for perfect knitting and sewing conditions, so there is some hope for this quilt.
